Cath Rutten
Cath Rutten is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator based in North Warrandyte, Naarm/Melbourne. With a diverse and impressive background, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, a Graduate Diploma in Arts Management, and a Master of Arts and Community Practice. Cath's musical journey has taken her across Australia and overseas, where she has graced the stage in musicals, bands and as a singer-songwriter. Cath currently performs regularly at festivals and events, both as a solo artist and in various ensembles
Her love for the arts extends beyond performance, as she is passionately interested in the intersection of arts and health. Cath has made a meaningful impact bringing her music and arts programs to a wide range of settings, from refugee communities and youth theatre to mental health and aged care programs. Her inclusive approach to teaching in her choir, ukulele group and singing studio make her a respected and well-loved figure in the local arts community.
Cath’s dedication to using the arts for positive change has earned her substantial recognition, including an International Award for Arts and Health in Public Programs, and awards and accolades for her work in Creative Arts in Disaster Recovery Programs. With an album just released and a track record of collaborative projects with various artists, Cath continues to inspire and uplift through the transformative power of music.
